EU Sales after Brexit

No Brexit-related price increases

The UK is no longer in the EU, the single market or the customs union from January 1st 2021.

However, we will continue to supply our customers in EU countries without increasing parts prices and by minimizing delays at customs.

We are working on minor technical issues which exist for some customers.

Suppliers and stocks unaffected

Our suppliers have built up large stocks, and we do not anticipate any supply issues.

Carriers experiencing slight delays

DHL Road Services to the EU are currently experiencing transit delays of up to 3 days into Europe due to Covid and Brexit.

DPD Road Services are now operating normally.

Our road carriage charges to all EU countries remain the same, except that our subsidized shipping prices to France have now ended.

Pre-pay VAT and duties in the checkout. Low fees

Most EU parcels up to 30 kg will be sent by DPD and you will be charged their 2.73€ customs clearance fee in the checkout. It is included in the "Duties, Taxes and  Fees" section of the bill.

If your order exceeds 30 kg it will be sent by DHL and you will be charged their 9.50€ CCF in the checkout.

Reclaiming VAT for companies

We are registered for VAT in every EU country and will continue to pass on all taxes collected.

Goods sent by DPD are not always cleared through customs in the destination country. For example, the hub for Germany is in the Netherlands.

It is very difficult to recover the VAT paid to your government if the customs declaration was made in a different country.

DHL customs clearance is always in the destination country. For that reason, we will send all orders to business customers with a value of over 70€ by DHL.

This enables you to recover your VAT, and we will pay the extra DHL customs clearance fee for you.

If you do not pre-pay the CCF then the charges on arrival could be up to 30€ and your goods will be held by the carrier until duty and VAT has been paid.

After 14 days, your customs declaration documents will be available from the carrier depot, but we are not able to contact them for you. For GDPR reasons, they will only deal with the importer.

If you are eligible to reclaim VAT as a business customer, you will need this document to claim VAT back from your country's tax office using their method for imported goods.

Please be aware that orders under 70€ and under 30kg will be sent by DPD and you will not be able to recover the VAT.

Customs duties

There are ZERO customs duties on goods with UK and/or EU origin due to the recent trade deal.

Vehicle parts that originate outside the EU or UK are subject to customs duties averaging 3.5%.

The exact duties for your order are calculated in the checkout when you choose to pre-pay and your parcel should not be held up by EU customs.

If you pre-pay, then in the event that any extra duties are imposed by EU customs, they will be refunded asap. Please email our customer service team.

Our commitment

Many of our longest standing customers are in the European Union.

We promise to continue to serve all of our customers and friends with the least disruption possible.
