RPD102363 is a rear shock absorber for vehicles fitted with air springs and self-levelling (non-ACE). Fitted between the rear axle and the body on Discovery 2 models, this hydraulic damper controls vertical oscillation and helps to stabilise body movement during acceleration, braking and cornering while working with the air spring assembly to maintain ride height and rear-axle behaviour. Replacement is required if the unit leaks, shows internal wear or no longer controls rebound and compression effectively, as degraded damping will alter ride quality and rear-axle response.
Please note: This shock absorber will not fit models with the ACE system fitted; for those vehicles use part RPD102354.
