Land Rover Part Number: STC4382 - Wheel Bearing - Front and Rear Hubs
STC4382 is a tapered roller wheel bearing used in the front and rear hub assemblies. Fitted into the hub bore, two of these bearings are pressed into each hub to carry radial and axial wheel loads and allow the wheel to rotate while transmitting those loads into the axle and hub assembly. The part supersedes RTC3429 and is supplied as a single bearing; when rebuilding a hub it is common practice to replace both bearings in the hub and to use pressing tools to remove and install them without damaging the hub bore.
Please note: There are two of these bearings pressed into each hub. Grease before fitting as oil may take a long time to work its way through, if it can at all.
