UHB100190 is a XYZ Solenoid Control Switch for automatic transmissions. Fitted to the side of the gearbox, this selector switch tells the ECU which gear the automatic box is in. It is mounted on the gearbox casing of Discovery 2 models with ZF 4-speed automatic transmissions. Water ingress at the mounting area commonly corrodes internal contacts and can lead to incorrect gear indication, fault codes or transmission limp behaviour; replacement restores reliable gear position feedback and removes an intermittent electrical fault source associated with the selector circuit.
