Land Rover Part Number: 1311281 - Inlet Valve
1311281 is an inlet valve. Fitted in the cylinder head on TDV6, SDV6 and TDV8 diesel engines, it controls the intake charge into the combustion chamber during the inlet stroke by opening to admit air or the air-fuel mixture and closing for the compression and combustion strokes. Valve face condition, seating and stem wear affect compression and combustion quality; valves are replaced when bent, burnt or otherwise damaged. This part is used across diesel cylinder heads fitted to Discovery and Range Rover applications with 2.7 TDV6, 3.0 V6 (TDV6/SDV6) and 3.6/4.4 V8 engines.
