Land Rover Part Number: MRC2178 - M8 Captive Nut
MRC2178 is an M8 captive nut used to provide a retained threaded anchor for front door hinge bolts and for securing dog guard/partition fixings. Fitted into the door or partition panel, it holds the bolt in place during assembly and provides the mating thread for the hinge or partition fastener.
Please note: The bolts used to fit the captive nuts are 79221 for vehicles up to 1997 and BYG100140L from 1997 on.
