The AEU1714 is the hydraulic actuator mounted at the pedal box that generates pressure when the clutch pedal is operated, transmitting fluid to the slave cylinder or concentric release unit to disengage the clutch. The unit includes the fluid reservoir and, on certain diesel applications, the associated hydraulic pipes. Common wear items are piston seals and the reservoir cap; seal deterioration or contaminated fluid reduces hydraulic pressure and can cause clutch slipping or incomplete disengagement.
