AEU1851 is a carburettor needle for the Solex carburettor fitted to the 3.5 V8 PI engine. It regulates fuel metering through the carburettor jet to maintain the correct air-fuel mix and engine behaviour. Correct seating and condition of the needle are important when rebuilding or servicing the carburettor, as a worn or damaged needle will adversely affect idling and fuel delivery.
