Land Rover Part Number: ANR2640 - Steering Damper Assembly
ANR2640 is a steering damper assembly fitted to the steering linkage on Range Rover P38 models. It mounts to the steering linkage and damping mechanism to reduce steering oscillations and limit kickback from rough surfaces. Internally a piston moves through a hydraulic damping medium to absorb high-frequency oscillations, which helps lower peak loads on the steering box, track rod and tie-rod ends and improves steering behaviour on uneven surfaces.
