BTP2284 is a lower radiator and intercooler frame fitted to the cooling system on Defender models equipped with the 300Tdi engine up to VIN TA976035. The frame locates and supports the bottom ends of the radiator and intercooler, providing the lower mounting points and alignment to the vehicle structure while maintaining correct spacing for hoses, ducts and the lower shroud.
Correct alignment reduces vibration transfer to the cooling cores and preserves airflow paths through the radiator and intercooler. Replacement of this frame is required when mounting points are damaged or corroded or when the lower support no longer secures the cores correctly.
