Land Rover Part Number: DA8884 - Optimill Quick Release Security Lock (Defender, 36/48-Spline Boss)
DA8884 is an Optimill quick release security lock designed to fit over Optimill quick-release steering wheel bosses in 36- or 48-spline form. CNC-machined from billet aluminium, its outer body rotates on a bearing to prevent the steering wheel from being turned. The unit is anodised bright orange for visibility and is supplied with a lock and two keys.

What does DA8884 do?
The DA8884 security lock caps the Optimill quick-release boss with a rotating, lockable sleeve. By free-spinning on a bearing, it prevents torque from being applied to the steering wheel, deterring theft while the wheel remains installed or when a removable wheel is locked in place.
