ERC2849 is a viscous coupling for a 16 inch 7-blade fan used on V8 petrol engines. Fitted to the engine cooling system on Range Rover Classic V8 models, the coupling links the engine-driven fan assembly to the drive so the 16 inch fan engages when additional airflow is required. The viscous drive provides a mechanical method to control fan engagement without an electrical clutch. The part is supplied as the viscous unit only; the fan blade is listed separately and is not included with this coupling.
