Land Rover Part Number: ERR2112 - Crankshaft Assembly
ERR2112 is a crankshaft assembly for the 2.5L 300Tdi engine. Fitted as the central rotating assembly, the crankshaft converts the pistons' reciprocating motion into rotational drive that delivers torque to the flywheel, transmission and ancillary drive components; the main and rod journals provide bearing surfaces for the connecting rods and flywheel and must be matched with the correct bearings and clearances to maintain alignment and longevity. The ERR2112 crankshaft is used across the 2.5L 300Tdi engine family fitted to Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic models. During installation the front and rear crank seals, spigot bush, crankshaft keys and bearing set should be inspected and replaced as necessary to prevent oil leaks and ensure accurate crank timing.
Please note: When fitting a new crankshaft replace the spigot bush LFB500050 and the crankshaft keys ERR5215. A set of standard crankshaft bearings is available under part number RTC4783.
