Land Rover Part Number: ERR2958 - Crankshaft Sprocket - V8
ERR2958 is a crankshaft sprocket for Rover V8 applications. Fitted to the timing system on 3.5L and 4.0L V8 petrol engines, the sprocket mounts on the crankshaft nose and engages the timing chain to establish and maintain the relationship between the crankshaft and camshaft(s). Correct sprocket fit and alignment are necessary for accurate valve and combustion timing; replacement is required when tooth wear, damage or incorrect fit affect chain tension, timing marks or generate abnormal noise within the timing assembly.
