Land Rover Part Number: ERR3777 - Inlet Valve - Cylinder Head - 300Tdi
ERR3777 is an inlet valve for the cylinder head on 300Tdi engines. Fitted to the inlet side of the cylinder head, the valve opens and closes to admit air into the combustion chamber during the intake stroke. It is actuated by the camshaft and retained by valve springs and collets, sealing against the valve seat when closed to maintain compression. The component must resist high temperatures, combustion gas exposure and mechanical wear at the stem and seating face; correct valve seating and stem-to-guide clearance are required for reliable combustion. Worn, bent or damaged inlet valves produce reduced compression, uneven running and increased exhaust soot, and replacement is required to restore correct sealing and compression.
