ERR4936 is a front timing cover gasket. Fitted to the front timing cover of Rover V8 engines, it seals between the front plate and the timing chain cover to prevent oil leaks. The gasket should be inspected whenever the front timing cover is removed and replaced if distorted, hardened or leaking.
