ERR5199 is a plenum chamber stepper motor fitted to the Rover 3.9L V8 EFI engine. Fitted to the plenum chamber assembly, the unit provides controlled, incremental movement to the plenum chamber injection mechanism, adjusting the position of the component that meters injection and thus affecting fuel delivery at idle and low-speed operation. The motor connects to the engine management electrical connector and secures to the chamber mounting points; replacement is appropriate where the stepper fails to move or responds intermittently, causing unstable idle or inconsistent injection metering.
