Land Rover Part Number: ERR6169 - Camshaft Sensor
ERR6169 is a camshaft sensor for Rover V8 engines. Fitted to the cylinder head, it monitors the angular position of the camshaft and supplies that information to the engine management system so the engine control unit can determine injection and ignition timing; on V8 applications this synchronisation supports sequential fuel injection and correct ignition phasing across both banks. A faulty camshaft sensor can interrupt cam/crank synchronisation and result in poor running, misfiring, or no-start conditions; replacing the sensor restores the camshaft position input used by the engine management system.
Please note: For pre 1997 Range Rover P38 models you will require camshaft sensor NSC500610.
