ERR7322 is an Accelerator Potentiometer - Throttle Body - V8. Fitted to the throttle body of V8 engines, it measures accelerator position and sends a variable voltage signal to the engine management system. Mounted on the throttle body, it converts throttle plate movement into a variable voltage for the engine control unit (ECU), helping to manage throttle response, idle control and transient behaviour; the sensor uses a resistive track and a wiper driven from the throttle spindle or pedal linkage. Replacing a faulty potentiometer restores correct throttle position feedback and can eliminate symptoms such as unexpected rev changes or limp-home modes.
