Land Rover Part Number: ESR3228 - Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler - 300Tdi
ESR3228 is an automatic transmission oil cooler fitted into the automatic gearbox oil circuit on 300Tdi-engined vehicles. It routes transmission oil through internal cooling passages exposed to airflow to reduce operating temperature during sustained load or towing, helping to limit thermal breakdown of the fluid and maintain consistent hydraulic pressure and shift operation. The cooler connects to the transmission via two cooler pipes and sealing O rings; replace the pipe O rings with part ESR1594L when fitting. Corroded cooler pipe connectors may not seal on a new cooler; replacement pipes are UBP101000 and UBP101010.
