ESR79 is a Radiator Assembly - 4-Cylinder Pre TD. Fitted to Defender models with 2.25 and 2.5 litre petrol and diesel engines built prior to the introduction of the 2.5 Diesel Turbo (19J), this radiator transfers engine heat from coolant to ambient air as part of the engine cooling system. The core and end-tank construction route hot coolant from the cylinder block through a finned core where airflow extracts heat before coolant returns to the engine. Mounting points match the Defender chassis and allow attachment of the cooling fan and shroud assembly; inlet and outlet locations align with the standard coolant hoses used on these engines. This part is specified for applications without an engine oil cooler.
