ETC1260 is a viscous coupling for 17 inch, 11-blade cooling fans. Fitted to the cooling fan of V8 Petrol EFI and VM Turbo Diesel engines where a 17 inch, 11-blade fan is specified. The coupling transfers drive from the engine front accessory drive to the fan through a controlled viscous shear element, increasing torque to the fan when cooling demand rises and allowing reduced fan speed in normal running to lower accessory load and noise.
