ETC5305 is a 32/34 DMTL carburettor for the 2.25L 4-cylinder petrol engine. Fitted to the fuel system on 2.25L 4-cylinder petrol Defender models and supplied with an electric lift pump arrangement for carburetted engines, it meters and delivers the air-fuel mixture required by the engine. The 32/34 DMTL configuration defines throttle bore and choke sizing to control mixture from idle through full throttle, while the electric lift pump maintains fuel pressure to the float chambers for a consistent feed. This early-model, non Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) unit uses mechanical and vacuum circuits to regulate idle mixture and progression circuits for throttle response, and correct carburettor selection affects starting, idle stability and drivability across the rev range.
Please note: This is the non Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) type fitted to early carburettor applications.
