ETC5866 is a cylinder head exhaust valve fitted into the exhaust ports of the cylinder head on Series and Defender 2.25 and 2.5 petrol engines. The valve seals the exhaust port during the compression and power strokes and opens on the exhaust stroke to allow combustion gases to exit, operating in time with the engine's valve train and timing.
