ETC6438 is a Rocker Cover Gasket for 4-cylinder Pre-Tdi diesel engines. Fitted between the rocker cover and the cylinder head, it seals the valve-train area to prevent oil leakage around the valves and camshafts. This gasket is used on Series 2 and Series 3 4-cylinder diesel models and on Defender 2.5L diesel vehicles up to the end of the 2.5TD/Pre-Tdi period.
