Land Rover Part Number: FRC8393 - Rear Propeller Shaft
FRC8393 is a rear propeller shaft that transmits torque from the R380 gearbox to the rear axle on Defender 90 models fitted with 300Tdi, Td5 and V8 engines. Fitted between the gearbox output flange and the rear axle input flange, the shaft preserves driveline alignment while allowing for suspension movement and articulation via universal joints at each end. When servicing the driveline, inspect the universal joints and flange fasteners for wear or damage and renew as required to maintain driveline integrity.
Please note: To replace the universal joints on this propeller shaft use part number RTC3458. To replace the propshaft nuts and bolts use part numbers NZ606041L and LR045409.
