Land Rover Part Number: FRC8700 - Wheel Hub Locknut - Early Type
FRC8700 is a wheel hub locknut (early type) used on beam axle hubs. On early hubs two of these locknuts are fitted either side of a tab-type lock washer to clamp the hub nut and retain the hub assembly. Please note: on later hub designs (from approx 1998) the locking tab is integrated into the nut and RFD100000 is used instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
FRC8700 is an early-type wheel hub locknut used on beam axle hubs. Two of these locknuts sandwich a tab-type lock washer on the hub spindle to hold the hub nut in position and retain the hub assembly. For later hub designs (from approx 1998) a nut with an integrated locking tab (RFD100000) is used instead.
