FTC1489 is a selector fork for 3rd and 4th gear used in the LT77 77mm 5-speed manual transmission. Fitted to the gearbox selector assembly, the fork slides on a locating shaft and bears against the transmission selector rail to move the selector sleeve, permitting the dog teeth for 3rd or 4th gear to engage. A worn or bent fork can cause difficult gear selection or false neutrals for 3rd and 4th gear; replacing the fork restores correct alignment between the shift rail and gear sleeve and returns the intended engagement geometry within the gear cluster.
