FTC3283 is a shift control solenoid fitted to the ZF 4-speed automatic gearbox. Mounted on or adjacent to the gearbox/shift interlock assembly, this solenoid engages and releases the gear-change lock so the transmission can move between Park, Drive, Neutral and Reverse during selector and vehicle system commands, and it controls the gear-change lock during selection and parking transitions.
