Land Rover Part Number: FTC3581 - 1st and 2nd Gear Selector Fork
FTC3581 is a 1st and 2nd gear selector fork for the R380 5-speed manual transmission. Fitted on the gearbox selector shaft, it locates against the selector sleeve shoulder and runs in the fork rail or guide to position the selector sleeve over the 1st and 2nd gear dogs, allowing positive engagement and disengagement of those gears. Hardened contact faces and correct fork geometry maintain accurate axial movement and dog alignment; replacement is required where the fork shows wear, bending or damaged contact surfaces that prevent positive engagement or cause gear crunching. This assembly is specific to the R380 5-speed manual gearbox design and is intended for use in Land Rover models carrying that gearbox specification.
