FTC4607 is an Automatic Transmission Drive Plate. This drive plate mounts between the automatic transmission input and the flywheel or torque converter on applicable V8 models and provides the driven interface that locates the torque converter or flexplate against the transmission input and engine flywheel area. It transfers rotational load from the engine/torque converter assembly into the automatic transmission input; correct condition and secure mounting are important to avoid driveline vibration, clutch engagement issues or abnormal noise during gear changes.
