FTC4713 is an automatic transmission drive plate for Td5 engines. This drive plate mounts to the flywheel of the automatic transmission on 2.5L 5-cylinder Td5 engines and forms the mechanical interface between the engine flywheel and the transmission input assembly. Positioned between the flywheel and the torque converter, the plate transmits engine rotation into the transmission input while maintaining correct alignment of the torque converter relative to the crankshaft; damage to the plate face, bolt holes or datum surfaces can cause misalignment, vibration or abnormal transmission noise and requires replacement.
