The JEX000030 water pump drives coolant through the auxiliary fuel-fired pre-heater circuit so heat from the fuel-fired heater is transferred into the vehicle cooling system. It routes coolant through the heater core and return lines during pre-heater operation on diesel vehicles fitted with the auxiliary heater. Replacement is required if coolant flow or pressure falls below specification, if internal leakage is present, or if electrical or mechanical drive faults prevent circulation.
