JPB500120 is an air conditioning compressor for Td4 applications. Fitted to Freelander 1 vehicles with the 2.0L BMW M47 diesel engine, the unit pressurises refrigerant within the vehicle's air conditioning system and includes the drive clutch that engages and disengages the compressor via the accessory belt. The compressor converts low-pressure refrigerant vapour into a high-pressure gas, acting as the central circulating pump for the refrigerant circuit and is matched to the system's pressure and oil specifications. When replacing the compressor, inspect the Polyvee belt and related drive components for wear and replace as necessary to maintain correct drive alignment and belt tension.
Please note: Replace the Polyvee belt when fitting a new compressor; use PQS101310L for vehicles up to VIN 1A999999 and PQS000180 for later vehicles.
