JRJ100550 is a Receiver Dryer Assembly - R134a Air Conditioning. Fitted adjacent to the condenser on Discovery 2 models, the unit contains a desiccant element that removes moisture from the refrigerant and a separator that keeps liquid refrigerant away from the compressor inlet. Moisture in the air conditioning system can cause corrosion, acid formation and freezing at the expansion device; the desiccant minimises these risks while the separator reduces the chance of liquid slugging the compressor. The assembly connects to the condenser and associated refrigerant lines and is supplied as a complete cartridge for correct fitment.
Please note: Do not expose the receiver dryer to the atmosphere before installation; the internal desiccant will absorb moisture and render the unit non-functional. This part will not fit GCC model vehicles.
