KRN500290 is a Floor Pan Reinforcement. Fitted to the seat base assembly, it forms part of the floor pan structure on applicable Defender models. The reinforcement locates and strengthens the floor panel area where the seat base assembly mounts, transferring local loads from the seat fixings into the surrounding structure and reducing deformation of the floor pan under occupant and service loads. During body repair or replacement of the seat base, the reinforcement restores correct mounting geometry and alignment for seat fastenings so the seat base meets factory mounting positions and maintains correct trim fit and cabin structural behaviour.
