LGH101190L is a Cylinder Head Exhaust Valve for the 1.8K Series. Fitted into the exhaust port of the cylinder head on 1.8L K-Series petrol engines, the valve opens on the exhaust stroke to allow combustion gases to exit the combustion chamber. It controls exhaust flow from each cylinder to the exhaust manifold and must withstand high temperatures and repeated seating against the valve seat; correct seating and sealing are essential for maintaining compression. Worn, burnt or bent valve stems can lead to loss of compression, rough running and increased exhaust emissions. Replacement valves are installed into the valve guides and work with springs, retainers and collets within the cylinder head assembly.
