LHP000090 is a Timing Chain Tensioner. Fitted to 2.5L 5-cylinder Turbo Diesel (TD5) engines used in Defender models, this tensioner applies and maintains tension on the timing chain to ensure correct engagement between the crankshaft and camshaft sprockets. Correct chain tension reduces noise from the timing system and helps maintain accurate valve timing for consistent engine performance.
