LHP100860 is a timing belt tensioner for 2.5L 300Tdi diesel engines. Fitted to the engine timing system, it applies and regulates tension on the timing belt to maintain correct camshaft and crankshaft phasing, reducing the risk of belt slip or jump and helping preserve valve timing under load. This part replaces ERR1972 for late 300Tdi installations and is not compatible with the 200Tdi engine. When replacing the tensioner on 300Tdi engines fit the matching timing belt (part ERR1092) and follow manufacturer service intervals for timing system checks.
