LKR000040 is an Inlet Manifold Rear PCV Breather Cover. Fitted to the rear face of the inlet manifold on 4.4 V8 petrol M62 B44 engines, this cover seals the PCV breather, houses the breather port and provides the seating for the breather connection and its gasket. When fitted correctly it prevents oil vapour and crankcase gases entering the intake tract uncontrolled and keeps oil residues contained within the breather circuit. Replace the cover during inlet manifold service or if a breather leak is identified, and inspect the mating surface and gasket whenever the manifold is removed.
