LR003380 is a PCV regulating valve. It operates within the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system on 4.2 and 4.4 AJ-V8 engines, regulating crankcase pressure and controlling the flow of blow-by gases to the inlet. On supercharged 4.2 V8 applications the valve also manages pressure differentials between boost and intake vacuum to limit charge-air ingress to the crankcase and reduce oil carry-over into the inlet. The unit is a replaceable valve assembly fitted to the emission control - crankcase system; diagnostics or replacement typically follow detection of oil fumes at the inlet, excessive crankcase pressure, or fault codes related to crankcase ventilation.
