LR006462 is a power steering pump that pressurises the hydraulic steering fluid to provide steering assistance on Freelander 2 2.2 DW and 2.2 CRDI diesel models. Fitted to the steering pump mounting for the 2.2-litre DW12 and 2.2 CR DI 16V engines, the unit supplies pressurised fluid to the steering gear so steering effort is reduced at low speed and remains controlled at higher speeds.
Please note: When changing the power steering pump, replace the power steering fluid reservoir because a blocked reservoir can cause pump failure; replacement reservoir part number LR000578.
