LR007655 is a camshaft cover that seals the cylinder head valvetrain on AJ Petrol 4.4 V8 EFI (220KW) and AJ Petrol 4.2 V8 Supercharged engines. The cover forms the upper enclosure for the camshafts, rocker gear and associated oil passages, providing a sealing surface with the cylinder head to retain engine oil and help prevent contamination of the valvetrain. It also provides mounting points for ignition coils and ancillary brackets on applicable models and is removed to access camshafts, timing components and valve gear during maintenance.
