Land Rover Part Number: LR008130 - Exhaust Valve - Cylinder Head

LR008130 is an exhaust valve for the cylinder head. Fitted to the cylinder head valve train on TDV6, TDV8, SDV6 and SDV8 diesel engines, this valve controls the release of exhaust gases from the combustion chamber into the exhaust manifold. Installed in the cylinder head, the valve seals against a machined seat to retain combustion pressure and opens at the correct timing to allow spent gases to exit. Valves used on diesel cylinder heads run under high thermal and mechanical load; when worn, pitted or bent they can cause loss of compression, increased smoke and elevated emissions. Replacement restores correct valve-to-seat contact and combustion chamber sealing - individual valves should be matched to the cylinder head specification when fitting replacements.
