LR018556 is a rotary clock spring that carries the steering wheel electrical circuits across the rotating joint while allowing free movement of the wheel. The unit incorporates a small universal joint on the steering shaft and maintains continuous electrical contact for circuits routed through the wheel assembly, including the horn, steering-wheel switches and the airbag circuit. LR018556 is a direct replacement for earlier clock spring assemblies and restores the electrical connection path without modification to the column harness; it replaces part numbers YRC500060, YRC500070 and YRC500080.
