LR023650 is a rear air suspension sensor fitted to the rear suspension of Range Rover Sport models with continuous variable damping. Mounted on the rear suspension linkage, the sensor measures ride height by converting suspension displacement into an electrical position signal and transmits that data to the air suspension control unit. The control unit uses this continuous feedback to command the air springs, compressor and damping control, adjusting vehicle height and damping response during load changes and dynamic conditions. The unit is applicable to vehicles with continuous variable damping and fits left and right rear positions where specified; replacement restores the height feedback signal and is required when the control system reports a rear height sensor fault for the affected side.
