LR023906 is an exterior rear view mirror assembly fitted as a complete exterior door mirror unit. The assembly includes heated glass, an electric motor and a dual power-fold mechanism for fold-back operation; it provides a controlled rearward view and integrates the adjustment, heating and folding systems into a single replacement unit. Heated glass reduces condensation and frost when energised, the electric motor permits remote positional adjustment from the cabin, and the dual power-fold mechanism allows the mirror to fold inward when activated or on collision impact to reduce the chance of damage. The unit is supplied complete with mirror glass, motor and folding mechanism and, on Freelander 2 vehicles, mounts to the exterior door mirror carrier and connects to the vehicle electrical system for power, heating and remote adjustment functions.
