LR030370 is an exhaust valve fitted in the cylinder head of 2.0L 16V TIVCT turbo petrol engines. It controls the flow of exhaust gases from the combustion chamber into the exhaust manifold, opening during the exhaust phase to release burnt gases and closing to seal the cylinder for the next intake. The valve face and stem operate against seats and guides engineered for high-temperature exhaust conditions; correct seating and timing are required for combustion efficiency and controlled exhaust flow. When replaced, the valve must match the cylinder head specification and be assembled with the correct spring, collets and retainers for the cylinder head being serviced. The part is intended for use where the cylinder head uses 2.0L 16V TIVCT T/C 240PS petrol or the Gen2 variant of the 2.0L TIVCT petrol engines.
