LR035727 is a mass air flow sensor fitted in the air intake tract. It measures the mass and volume of intake air passing through the air cleaner and provides a continuous electrical signal to the engine control unit so fuel delivery and ignition timing can be calculated. On 5.0 petrol V8 applications with AJ133 engines and on 2.0L Ingenium diesel applications with AJ200 engines it supports closed-loop fuel control and helps the ECU manage transient responses; replacing a faulty unit restores accurate air measurement to prevent incorrect fuelling, rough running or increased emissions.
