Land Rover Part Number: LR045390 - Variable Valve Timing Solenoid - 3.0 AJ-V6 - 5.0 AJ-V8
LR045390 is the Variable Valve Timing solenoid fitted to the camshaft phasing system on 3.0 supercharged AJ-V6 and 5.0 AJ-V8 petrol engines. This solenoid controls hydraulic oil delivery to the camshaft phasers, regulating oil flow to advance or retard camshaft timing so the engine management system can alter timing under different load and speed conditions. Correct operation is essential for smooth phaser movement and affects torque delivery, throttle response and emissions on affected engines; a faulty or sticking unit will interrupt the phasing system and change engine running characteristics.
Please note: When replacing the earlier VCT type solenoid with LR045390, the repair link LR061705 is also required.
